Alpiste Diet, Day One

I started the day at 231.5. On the plus side, I’m 20 pounds lighter than my heaviest.

Breakfast this morning is an Alpiste Shake. Or Smoothie. Or glass of cement. It’s a simple recipe: an ouce or so of Alpiste (also known as Canary Seed), soaked overnight, tossed in a blender with a cup and a half of milk, and a half cup or cup of fruit. I went with frozen blackberries this morning. It makes for a nice purple color in the drink. Now if I could just get rid of the grainy texture.

In theory, this little mix is supposed to keep me full for a large chunk of the day, and make me more likely to burn fat easier. Time will tell, of course.
